Everything Bagel Seasoning

FAQ
Can I use fine salt instead of flaky salt?
Yes, just use less. Fine salt is stronger, so start small and adjust to taste.
How long does homemade everything bagel seasoning last?
Stored in a sealed jar at room temperature, it’ll keep well for a few months.
What can I use this on besides bagels?
Eggs, avocado toast, roasted vegetables, chicken, salmon, popcorn, you’ll find excuses.

Everything Bagel Seasoning
This Everything Bagel Seasoning is one of those little jars you’ll reach for constantly. It’s salty, crunchy, garlicky, and somehow makes everything taste better. Use it on eggs, avocado toast, roasted veggies, even popcorn. Toss it together in minutes, stash it in the pantry, and suddenly plain food doesn’t stand a chance.
Ingredients
- 1 Tbsp sesame seeds
- 1 Tbsp black sesame seeds or use extra regular sesame seeds
- 1 Tbsp poppy seeds
- 1 Tbsp dried minced garlic
- 1 Tbsp dried minced onion
- 1–1½ tsp flaky salt to taste
Instructions
- Add all ingredients to a small bowl.
- Mix well until evenly combined.
- Transfer to a jar with a tight-fitting lid and store at room temperature for up to a few months.
- Shake before using — the salt likes to settle at the bottom.
Notes
- For a bolder mix, slightly increase the dried garlic and onion.
- If using fine salt, start with ½ teaspoon, taste, and adjust — it’s much stronger than flaky salt.
- This blend also works great sprinkled on roasted potatoes, sheet-pan veggies, or brushed onto buttered bread before toasting.
