Marble Blue Cheese Buffalo Sauce
If you’re a sucker for buffalo sauce and blue cheese, you’ve gotta try this marbled version! It’s the best of both worlds, creamy, tangy, spicy, and just a little fancy with that swirl effect. I drizzle it over wings, fries, roasted cauliflower… anything that needs a punch of flavour and a little drama. Trust me, people will be asking you for this recipe.
Ingredients
- ½ cup buffalo hot sauce I use Franks Red Hot Sauce
- ¼ cup unsalted butter
- ¼ cup crumbled marble blue cheese
- 1 tbsp cream optional, for a creamier texture
- 1 tbsp honey optional, for a touch of sweetness
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Stir in the crumbled blue cheese and cook, stirring occasionally, until smooth and melted. Add cream (if using,) for a richer consistency.
- Season with a pinch of salt and pepper. Set aside.
- In a separate saucepan, heat the buffalo sauce over medium heat until warmed through. Stir in honey, (if using,) to balance the heat.
- In a serving bowl or directly over your dish, drizzle the blue cheese sauce into the warm buffalo sauce. Use a spoon or skewer to gently swirl them together, creating that signature marbled look. Don’t overmix; you want to see the contrast.
- Spoon over chicken wings, roasted veggies, grilled meats, or anything that needs a bold, creamy kick.
Notes
- For a thicker drizzle, let both sauces cool slightly before swirling.
- You can use any blue cheese, but marble blue cheese melts especially well and has a milder funk, making it more crowd-friendly.
- Yield: About 3/4 cup (enough for 1–1.5lb of wings)
