
Roasted Sweet Potatoes
Roasted sweet potatoes might just be the ultimate side dish. Crispy, caramelized on the outside, perfectly soft on the inside, and packed with warm, savoury flavour. Whether you’re keeping it simple or adding a little smoky heat, these roasted sweet potatoes are easy to make and go with just about anything. Perfect for meal prep, weeknight dinners, or just because you need something delicious on your plate!
Ingredients
- 3 large sweet potatoes peeled and cut into ½-inch pieces
- 1½ tbsp olive oil
- ½ tsp fine sea salt use less if using table salt
- ⅛ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp ground chili powder see notes
- ¼ –½ teaspoon paprika
- ¼ tsp ground cumin
- ½ tsp garlic powder
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F.
- Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Peel and cut into ½-inch cubes.
- Add the sweet potatoes to a bowl and toss with olive oil, salt, pepper, chili powder, paprika, cumin, and garlic powder.
- Line a baking sheer with parchment paper and spread the sweet potatoes out in a single layer.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes, flipping every 10–15 minutes, until tender and caramelized.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
- For a smoky flavour: Use chipotle chili powder and/or smoked paprika.
- For extra heat: Add ¼–½ teaspoon cayenne pepper.
- Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days.
- Reheating: Warm in the oven or air fryer for 5-10 minutes to restore crispiness.
