Wasabi Aioli

FAQ
How spicy is this wasabi aioli?
It has a medium heat by default, but you can adjust the wasabi paste to give it more of a kick, or less for a milder flavour.
Can I make this ahead of time?
Yes! It actually tastes better after chilling for 10–15 minutes, and you can store it in the fridge for up to 3–4 days in an airtight container.
Can I use store-bought wasabi powder instead of paste?
Yes, but mix it with a little water to form a smooth paste before combining with the mayo.
How can I thin the aioli if it’s too thick?
Gradually add 1–2 teaspoons of water or lemon juice until you reach the desired consistency.
What can I serve it with?
Great for sushi, fried seafood like calamari, sandwiches, burgers, grilled meats, or even roasted veggies.
Can I omit the garlic?
Absolutely! Garlic is optional, the wasabi provides plenty of flavour on its own.
