Pear & Blue Cheese Crostini

FAQ
Can I make these ahead of time?
You can toast the bread in advance, but assemble just before serving so everything stays crisp.
Can I swap the blue cheese?
Yes. Goat cheese or brie are great if you want something milder. Smoked Gouda also works if you want a slightly smoky twist.
Do these need to be served warm?
No, they’re best at room temperature so the flavours stay balanced.
Chef’s Tips
- Choose pears that are ripe but still firm so they don’t turn mushy on the crostini.
- Toast the bread well, it should be crisp enough to hold everything without going soft.
- Let the bread cool slightly before topping so the cheese softens instead of melting away.
- Keep the honey light, you want balance, not dessert.
