This deliciously fresh and creamy dill sauce has always been a childhood favourite of mine. Each herby bite is a nostalgic trip down memory lane, reminding me of my Oma and Mum. Perfect for meats, veggies, and fondues, this dip brings a comforting, homemade touch to every meal.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 bundle of fresh dill finely chopped
  • 3 tbsp Mayonnaise
  • 3 tbsp Canned milk (coronation milk)
  • ½-1 lemon freshly squeezed
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • ½ tsp salt
  • pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • In a bowl combine mayo, condensed milk & lemon. Whisk until smooth.
  • Add sugar, salt and pepper. (should have a balance of sweet and salty)
  • Add in the dill, mix well and place in refrigerator for at least 30min before serving.
  • Enjoy!

Notes

Flavour Tip: The longer this sauce rests in the refrigerator, the more the flavours develop and deepen. Chill for at least an hour before serving for the best taste.
Versatile Use: It also works wonderfully as a pasta salad dressing or a dip for fresh vegetables, chips, or seafood.
Storage: Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Stir well before using.
Customizable Flavour: Add a squeeze of lemon juice or a pinch of garlic powder for an extra zesty kick.
Pairing Suggestions: This sauce pairs perfectly with grilled salmon, roasted potatoes, as a fondue dip or as a spread for sandwiches and wraps.
