Notes
- Make Ahead: Crying Tiger Sauce can be made ahead of time to allow the flavours to meld. Prepare it a day or two in advance for the best results.
- Adjusting Spice Level: If you prefer a milder version, you can reduce the amount of chili or substitute with a less spicy variety.
- Serving Suggestions: This sauce is excellent with grilled meats, such as steak, chicken, or pork. It can also be used as a dipping sauce for spring rolls or added to stir-fries for an extra punch of flavour.
- Vegan Option: For a vegan version, replace the fish sauce with a plant-based alternative, such as mushroom or soy sauce.
- Storage: Store Crying Tiger Sauce in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week for the best flavour and freshness.
- The sauce may separate over time, simply give it a good stir before using.
