Ingredients
  

  • 1 ½ cups jasmine rice rinsed
  • 2 ¼ cups water or chicken broth for extra flavor
  • 2 tbsp neutral oil vegetable, canola, or avocado oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1- inch piece of ginger grated or finely minced
  • ½ tsp salt adjust to taste
  • 3 scallions thinly sliced
  • 1-2 tsp sesame oil adjust to taste

Instructions
 

  • Heat the neutral oil in a saucepan over medium heat.
  • Add the minced garlic and ginger, sautéing until fragrant but not browned (about 30 seconds).
  • Stir in the rinsed rice and toast for 1 minute to coat it with the oil and aromatics.
  • Add water (or broth) and salt, then bring to a boil.
  • Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes.
  • Turn off the heat and let it sit, covered, for another 5-10 minutes.
  • Fluff the rice with a fork, then gently fold in the sliced scallions and drizzle with sesame oil.
  • Serve with your favourite dishes & Enjoy
