Strawberries & Cream Croissants

FAQ
Can I use canned whipped cream?
You can, but homemade Chantilly cream tastes richer and only takes a few minutes to make.
Can I use other fruit?
Absolutely. Raspberries, blueberries, or sliced peaches all work beautifully.
Can I make this ahead of time?
It’s best assembled right before serving so the croissant stays crisp.
Chef’s Tips
- Use a good croissant. A fresh bakery croissant makes all the difference.
- Don’t overwhip the cream. Stop once stiff peaks form so it stays light and fluffy

Strawberries & Cream Croissants
Sometimes the simplest things are the best. Light, creamy and just sweet enough, strawberries & cream croissants are a quick little treat made with a buttery croissant, fluffy vanilla Chantilly cream, and fresh strawberries. Ready in minutes, they taste like something you’d grab at a cozy café.
Equipment
- Stand Mixer or Hand Mixer
- Piping bag (optional)
Ingredients
- 2 croissants store-bought or homemade
- ½ cup whipping cream
- 1 tbs icing sugar
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- 4-6 strawberries sliced
- Icing sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Using a serrated knife, slice the croissant in half and set aside.
- Rinse the strawberries and pat them dry. Remove the tops and slice into thin pieces.
- In a medium bowl, combine the whipping cream and vanilla extract. Sift in the icing sugar.
- Using a handheld mixer, beat on medium speed for about 1 minute until slightly thickened. Increase to high speed and beat 1–2 minutes more, until stiff peaks form.
- Transfer the whipped cream to a piping bag (if using).
- Place the bottom half of the croissant on a plate. Pipe the Chantilly cream generously over the croissant.
- Layer the sliced strawberries on top, slightly overlapping them.
- Place the top half of the croissant over the strawberries.
- Dust lightly with icing sugar and serve immediately.
- Enjoy
Notes
- This recipe is easily doubled!
- No piping bag? Simply spoon the whipped cream onto the croissant.
- Extra indulgent: Add a drizzle of chocolate or honey.
- Sweetness: Add a little extra icing sugar if you prefer a sweeter cream.
