Fresh Basil Paste is a vibrant blend of fresh basil, olive oil, and sometimes garlic, offering a quick and easy way to infuse your dishes with the fresh, aromatic flavour of basil. Wash and dry 2 cups of fresh basil leaves thoroughly.
Blend basil leaves with a pinch of salt, garlic and rice vinegar (if using) until smooth.
While the processor is running, slowly drizzle in the oil and process until finely pureed.
Adjust salt and vinegar to taste. Add more oil for desired consistency.
Transfer the fresh basil paste to a clean jar or container with a tight lid.
