This sheet-pan lemon garlic salmon is one of those go-to “throw it on a pan and call it dinner” meals. Salmon, buttery garlic, a touch of hot sauce, and crisp-tender asparagus all roast together on one tray, so cleanup isa breeze. The salmon stays juicy, the asparagus cooks just right, and the little drizzle of lemon-hot sauce adds a bright, tangy kick that keeps everyone reaching for seconds. Easy enough for a weeknight, but still feels a little special.
Zest of ½ lemon, smoked paprika, or capersOptional for extra flavour
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 375ºF (190ºC).
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
Optional: Combine lemon juice and hot sauce in a small bowl.
Place salmon fillets on the sheet pan and arrange asparagus around the salmon, keeping even spacing.
Drizzle 1–2 tsp of olive oil over the salmon and asparagus, then sprinkle minced garlic, salt, pepper, and any optional seasonings on top.
Dot the butter cubes on top of each fillet to help them baste while baking.
Drizzle the lemon-hot sauce mixture evenly over everything (if using).
Roast in the oven until salmon flakes easily with a fork and asparagus is tender, about 18–22 minutes for medium-thick fillets. For perfectly cooked salmon, it should reach 125–130ºF (52–54ºC) internally. - Thicker asparagus stalks may need an extra minute, while thinner ones cook faster.
Let the salmon rest 2–3 minutes before serving. Sprinkle with parsley or cilantro and a little extra lemon juice.
Serve & enjoy!
Notes
For a golden, slightly crisp top, broil for 1–2 minutes at the end. Watch carefully to avoid burning.
Adjust hot sauce to taste for mild or extra heat.
Optional add-ins like lemon zest, smoked paprika, or capers give a little extra punch.
